Yes! We feel this is a perfect environment for children of ALL abilities!
We ask that the explorer be independent in following directions and basic cues of safety around water, electricity, and large animals. If you are unsure if this will be the case, please feel free to send along an assigned assistant for your child to stay with them throughout camp sessions.
Please inform us of all needs ahead of time so that we can properly assist your child and allow them for the safest experience.
Yes! We have 2 ponds, a lake, and a creek on the property.
We have strict guidelines around entering the water up to waist level at certain areas. Children are not allowed to jump into a body of water from the bank. Children are not allowed to enter the water below certain temperatures.
If you have any concerns about your child around bodies of water and other children, we recommend sending a life jacket that is fitted for your child to the camp.
Because of splashing that may occur when play arises with kids, if your child is sensitive to water in the ears or the eyes, we would recommend goggles or ear plugs.
Water play is never required, but most want to participate due to the heat in the summer camps.
Yes. Your child will be around large and small livestock throughout the camp. It is important that your child can follow basic safety instructions.
There may also be instances where a child may have to pass around an electric fence. We turn these off during camp as much as we can, but we recommend continued education at home about electric fence safety and following directions for everyone's safety.
We keep a 5:1 ratio of guides to explorers in our class.
